Believe

Who would ever believe, that play would sneak up on us and bite us on our tail?
Who would ever believe, that play is the essence of all things regarding spirit, intuition and divine knowledge?
Who would ever believe that all philosophies exploring the worlds of spirituality, wisdom and truth, are forms of play
Who would ever believe, that the very thing we are striving to find, reach and achieve,
we already have within us, and are using this, to find, reach
and achieve
James

The most easy and most difficult discipline (part 1)

When we play, we are playing with our spirit, (which is playing). This is easy for us as a child, an easy discipline which demands little effort. Our enjoyment and pleaure is for all to see when we are playing with our spirit (which is playing). As we grow older our ability to remain in contact with this spirit diminishes unless we remain focused on the intense power of play.

To play with our spirit as an adult, and to remain true to the spirit of Play is the most difficult path anyone can ever walk. The most difficult yoga anyone can ever practise.

As we grew older as a child so did our view of the world expand, our sense of what is now expanded the more we played.. We became more aware of how large this world is, this Now is. It no longer is just our spirit we are playing with in this room, we are now aware of this house, this street, these other people, dozens of people, and dozens of streets, hundreds of streets and hundreds of people, not just one city but a land full of cities and this land only a small land compared to hundreds of other lands. And in all these lands and in all these people there are those who are older than us who seem to have stopped playing with their spirit. They seem to have hardened their spirit, captured it and frozen it in time. they now have identified with it and called this spirit, Adult

By the time a child has progressed to become an adult they have learned to suppress their easy discipline which is clear for all to see, and they have learned to hide it, keeping it inside, if not freezing it and locking it up altogether. And in the process are less aware of this spirit, to the point they may even forget it.

In this world full of adults, there are those adults who have become aware of this frozen spirit, forgotten spirit inside them. And they have tried to come in contact with it, to set it free. And over these years, a small handfull of people became a large group, a movement, dozens of groups and dozens of movements, all working towards this goal, to set this spirit free. And they have called this effort this work this discipline, Spiritual.
